"Pollinator Lounge"

Recently arrived from Brooklyn, the Pollinator Lounge is now in its UB home in Diefendorf Meadow on the South Campus. The Brooklyn Botanic Garden commissioned UB architecture professor Joyce Hwang and University of Texas at Austin architect Nerea Feliz to take part in its summer 2024 “Natural Attractions” exhibition on native plants and pollinators. Hwang's and Feliz's students designed and fabricated the Pollinator Lounge, a multispecies design installation that invites us to sit among the unsung heroes of urban biodiversity at work in our own backyard. Read more about the "Pollinator Lounge."
