Word of Mouth
What is your favorite one-tank getaway?

The economy has changed the way some plan vacations, and one of those quick getaways to rejuvenate is Toronto. Toronto transports you to another country, many cultures and great plays, and provides you with that respite for a day.

Cleveland, because my son attends Case Western Reserve University and, like many waterfront cities I visit, I admire what that city has done. I found a favorite bed-and-breakfast where I stay right on the campus called The Glidden House. It is across the street from the Frank Gehry-designed Peter B. Lewis School of Business and near the Botanical Gardens that I love to visit in any season.

It’s hard to beat Niagara-on-the-Lake, where it seems like an escape to another world so close to home. You can enjoy most anything there—shopping, cycling, walking, winery tours, shows, etc. Best of all is the ride along the Niagara Parkway, all the way back to the Peace Bridge.
