The Massachusetts Avenue Project has done amazing things for local food, farms and people, so they undoubtedly fill the top spot on my list. I also must mention the glazed goodness at Famous Doughnuts on Main Street and the pleasantly hoppy Bird of Prey IPA from the Flying Bison Brewing Company.

My favorite local food would have to be a beef on weck sandwich, especially one from Charlie the Butcher. Unless you’re a vegetarian, how could you not love this? Slow-roasted beef on a kummelweck roll. I’m going to go get one now.
