Liza Minnelli to perform in CFA
Entertainment icon Liza Minnelli will perform a holiday concert at 8 p.m. Nov. 22 in the Mainstage theater in the Center for the Arts, North Campus.
Tickets, priced at $126.50, $111.50 and $86.50, go on sale at 10 a.m. July 31.
The concert will benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Buffalo.
Minnelli, an icon of stage and screen, has won virtually every major award, including an Oscar, four Tonys, two Golden Globes, a Grammy and an Emmy. An unstoppable force, she commands the stage with irrepressible musical style and showbiz star power.
Tickets can be purchased at the CFA box office and at all Ticketmaster outlets, including ticketmaster.com.
TCIE names Dosser business development officer
UB’s Center for Industrial Effectiveness (TCIE) has named Shawna R. Dosser business development officer, focusing on selling to local companies and organizations business solutions that include reengineering, professional development and product development.
Dosser has 20 years of experience in health education and exercise physiology, helping individuals make behavior and lifestyle changes within corporate, school and community settings.
She is president of BWI Health Promotions, a worksite and school health-promotion corporation that she founded in 1998, which provides creative wellness solutions through onsite health, nutrition and fitness programs. BWI has provided internship opportunities to UB exercise science students for the past 12 years.
Dosser previously was site and health promotion/marketing director at Prism Health Networks, a faculty member in the Department of Health and Wellness at Buffalo State College, senior exercise physiologist at the Work Injury Recovery Center in Buffalo and program/physical director at the Warren County YMCA.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in health science from Lock Haven University and a master’s degree in exercise science and health education from West Chester University.
She attained her Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from TCIE in 2008.
