  • When my husband was growing up, sugared cereal was verboten in his house—except Santa didn’t know that. So every Christmas Eve, he slid down the chimney with seven mini boxes of sugared cereal—one for each child. We’ve kept that tradition alive with our own kids. Some years, they’re more excited about the Fruit Loops in their stocking than the battery-powered gizmos under the tree.

  • My holiday tradition is to go for a drink called Tom and Jerry at Schwabl’s in West Seneca after an all-day Christmas shopping extravaganza with my sister. Such a great way to end a fun day.

  • We have been celebrating Christmas Eve as a big family at Gramp and Gram’s house since 1954. As time passes on, families get smaller, people come and go, but the celebration lives on!
