  • PSS organizing picnic

    The Professional Staff Senate will hold a “summer potluck BBQ” from noon to 1 p.m. June 17—rain or shine—in the courtyard between the Student Union and Knox Hall on the North Campus.

    The PSS will provide the hot dogs and burgers; faculty and staff should bring a “potluck” item to share, such as soft drinks, a side dish, chips, paper products, condiments, etc.

    Those wishing to attend should RSVP to pssenate@buffalo.edu by June 4 and include the potluck item they plan to bring.

  • Discount amusement park tickets available

    UB faculty and professional staff members can obtain discount tickets to Darien Lake and Fantasy Island from the UUP Buffalo Center Chapter office in 326 Crofts Hall, North Campus.

    Darien Lake tickets are $23.99; ages 2 and under are free. Fantasy Island tickets are $15.95; ages 2 and under are free

    A check or exact cash would be appreciated.

    The office is open from 8:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Monday through Friday. Call 645-2013 for more information.

  • Corporate Challenge is June 10

    UB again is sponsoring a team in the 30th annual JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge, being held June 10 in Delaware Park.

    The race, which starts at 6:45 p.m., supports local charities and draws more than 10,000 participants from hundreds of companies. Nearly 200 UB employees participated last year.

    After the race, the UB team will gather for a tent party, which will feature a UB spirit theme.
