Center Celebration to open 2010-11 season
The Center for the Arts will hold a Center Celebration to open its 2010-11 season from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Aug. 25 at the CFA, North Campus.
The event will be held rain or shine.
A free picnic lunch will be served—while supplies last—featuring Sahlen’s hot dogs, veggie dogs, salads, desserts and more. Performing will be Doug Yeomans and The Lo Blu Flame, and LehrerDance.
Tickets for all 2010-11 performances will go on sale at 10 a.m., with ticket discounts available that day only. Door prizes and giveaways will be held, and the first 500 patrons will receive a CFA keepsake item.

Football Day planned at Darien Lake
The Division of Athletics is offering UB faculty and staff an opportunity to spend two days with the 2010 Bulls football team at one great price.
Team members will be at Darien Lake Theme Park Resort from 1-6 p.m. on Aug. 22, and tickets to the theme park and Spashtown water park may be purchased for $29.99—a savings of $13 over the regular adult admission price of $42.99.
The purchase price includes a ticket to the UB home opener against Rhode Island at 7 p.m. Sept. 2 in UB Stadium. The regular ticket price is $30.
In addition, the first 50 people ordering tickets will receive a bonus Darien Lake ticket free of charge.
