Word of Mouth
What would you name the soon-to-be-hatched falcon chicks? At last count, there were four eggs in the nest.

The first thing I do when I get into work is check the Falcon Cam. My first thought for naming the falcons was after the Beatles—John, Paul, Ringo and George. But, since we don’t know the sex of the babies, I had to think of something else. Driving to work this morning, I was thinking about my first cup of coffee and thought, how about naming them after some popular coffee spots: Horton, Dunkin, Starbuck and Panera? Any guesses on when those eggs will hatch?

Center for Hearing and Deafness - I would call them War, Famine, Pestilence and Death.

Department of English - I really enjoy checking in on the Falcon Cam throughout my day and I love knowing their home is here at UB. If I were choosing names for the chicks, I would go for something uncommon: Ezra, Matisse, Kalypso and Tia would be my front runners. I’m a fan of the name Lulu as well. The chicks—gender would definitely be a deciding factor!

Department of English - I think my choices would be Ennis, Gerbe, Rico and Ruff. It’s not that original, but it is playoff season and the Sabres are in it! And it’s a little tribute to the late Rick Martin. Can you tell I’m a Sabres fan?

I think that Curly, Larry, Moe and Shemp would be nice. No particulary reason - just thought it would be fun.

I love checking in on Bebe and Yankee throughout the day. The first thought that comes to mind for their offspring is Eenie, Meenie, Miney, Mo but perhaps Queenie, Meanie, Mine-y, Mow would be more appropriate for falcons.

In recognition of the recent show by Bob Newhart in the CFA (and the fact that we probably won't be seeing them all together for long anyway), I'd call them Daryl, Daryl, Daryl, and Bob.
