The Graduate School has received the Award for Excellence and Innovation in Graduate Education from the Northeastern Association of Graduate Schools/Educational Testing Service in recognition of its innovative program “GrAdMIT: The Evolution of Graduate and Professional Admissions.” The association (NAGS) also has awarded its Graduate Faculty Teaching Award (master’s-level) to Steven T. Koury, research assistant professor in the Department of Biotechnical and Clinical Laboratory Sciences, School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. The award recognizes excellence and creativity in the teaching of graduate students with an emphasis on pedagogy, including classroom-based and/or distance-learning instruction. Both awards were presented last week during NAGS’ annual meeting in Boston.
