EAP offers programs
November is Employee Assistance Month, and UB’s Employee Assistance Program is offering a number of free programs throughout the month for faculty and staff.
Among the programs:
- Do I Need Long-term Care Insurance?: Nov. 9, noon to 1 p.m., Crofts Hall, North Campus. Learn about options to protect your assets, Medicaid and Medicare, and evaluating long-term care insurance companies. Lunch provided.
- Planning For Your Future: Nov. 15, 9-11 a.m., UB Gateway, Downtown Campus. The third part of a four-part series, this session covers disability and special needs planning.
- IAMT (Meditation): Nov. 15, 9:30-11:30 a.m., Harriman Hall, South Campus, and Nov. 16, 9:30-11:30 a.m., Student Union, North Campus. Learn this meditation technique to help reduce stress and anxiety.
- Parenting Lunch Bunch: Nov. 16, noon to 2 p.m., Parker Hall, South Campus. Join this interactive, group discussion on effective parenting strategies. Call Christopher Siuta at 829-2231 to register for this group, as it will be limited to six participants.
- EAP Tools for Supervisors: Nov. 17, 9-11:30 a.m., Crofts Hall. Learn to manage challenging employees while maintaining a productive workplace.

UB’s EAP provides confidential assessment and referral services to UB employees, their family members and retirees for any issue that can affect individuals on the job or at home. These include family and relationship issues, as well as financial, housing, legal, mental health, grief, loss and substance abuse issues.
