The Buffalo Sabres' new head coach, Ted Nolan, and his family will be welcomed to Buffalo at a potluck dinner and social Sept. 8 to be held from 5 p.m. to midnight at UB's Alumni Arena. Nolan comes to the Sabres after serving as assistant coach for the Hartford Whalers. The social honoring Nolan, an Ojibway from Garden River Reservation, Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario, Canada, is sponsored by the Iroquois Crossroads Center, Native American Community Services and the Office of the Vice President for Public Service and Urban Affairs at UB.
