The UB Women's Club will open its Celebrate 50! anniversary year with an
English afternoon tea and activity signup on Sunday, Sept. 17 from
1-4 p.m. at the Center for Tomorrow. Betty Feagans, vice president of
marketing, Royal China and Porcelain Companies, Inc. will present social
and ceremonial information on the subject of tea. Guests and new members
are welcome. Honorary and past presidents will be recognized at the tea. UB Women's Club President Janet Fedor and Vice President Ninfa Straubinger will serve tea using Spode and Royal Worcester china shipped in for this event. Chair of the tea is Marie Schillo; co-chairs are Marisa Mihich and Shirley Buckle. The program will also feature information about UB Women's Club activity groups and service programs. Members will be able to sign up for groups they wish to join. Membership in the club, a service organization to UB and its community, is open to all women who have a commitment to the university and the purposes of the Women's Club.
