Gladys K. Drewelow, 81, a longtime Republican activist and public information officer for former county executive Edward V. Regan, died Nov. 22 in Buffalo General Hospital. She served on the University at Buffalo Community Advisory Council.

A member of the Erie County Republican Party's executive committee for 26 years, she served on the New York State Apprenticeship Training Council, the Citizens Advisory Committee on Downtown Buffalo and the Buffalo Convention Center Management Committee. She received numerous awards, including a medal of honor from the Freedoms Foundation and WNY Interclub Council's Susan B. Anthony Award.
