To honor supporters of the UB Division of Athletics, a scholarship-donor recognition dinner will be held at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 26 in the Center for the Arts. A highlight will be the unveiling of a donor-recognition wall, surrounded by a mural depicting UB athletes and views of the North Campus to be located in the lobby of Alumni Arena. Along with donors, UB coaching staff and sponsored student-athletes will attend the dinner.

A "Donors of Distinction" plaque for the recognition wall features drawings of those who have endowed scholarships to UB athletics, including Robert G. and Gloria L. Biedenkopf of Williamsville; Louis R. and Nancy C. Reif of Williamsville; Robert E. and Janet W. Rich of Buffalo; and Arthur W. Woelfle Jr. of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. Also honored on the plaque are full annual-scholarship supporters Mr. and Mrs. Reg Newman of Williamsville; Dr. and Mrs. Charles S. Tirone of Williamsville; Buffalo Crushed Stone; Key Bank; National Fuel Gas, and The Legend Group. In addition, honored annual tuition supporters are Fleet Bank, North Forest Civic Association, and Robert and Claudia Smolinski of Orchard Park.

Photos of student-athlete scholarship recipients will accompany the mural, designed by local artist Jamey Monroe Solecki.
