Winners have been announced for UB's first annual MBA Case Competition,
held Feb. 9 in Jacobs Management Center. First place team received
$1,000; second place, $500, and third, $250. The winners: First place, Daryl Meyer, Teresa Ratka, Julia Schaff, Debra Couch; Second place, Dara Moore, Guru Sahajpal, Akshaya Singh, Marcus Heinrichs; Third place, Mark Candino, William Gorenflo, Dan Longo. Teams were provided with a case and were asked to resolve a corporate problem spanning several functional areas. Each team served as consultants to the company in question and prepared a written executive report. Based on evaluation of the reports, the top five teams presented their conclusions in a 10-15 minute presentation before a panel of judges. The event was sponsored by Computer Task Group and Ernst & Young.
