Gallery hours are 10:30 a.m.-8 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday, and Noon-5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free. Digital art "Digital Messages: Vision, Revision, and Precision," a show by Communications Design and Computer Art students and faculty, continues through March 14 in the Art Department Gallery, Center for the Arts, North Campus. Topped by fish tanks Satoru Takahashi's exhibit, "Dumping Sight: Landscape/Landscope," continues through March 22 in the University Art Gallery, Center for the Arts, North Campus. The exhibit is "a complex architectural-sculptural work consisting of two separate revolving doors made of reflective glass with fish tanks as ceilings." Takahashi is a Japanese artist living in New York City. Gallery hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 10:30 a.m.-8 p.m., and Sunday, Noon-5 p.m. Admission is free. Lightwell installation Leonardo Drew's site-specific installation "No. 45-A" was designed for the Lightwell Gallery in the Center for the Arts, North Campus, and now is lodged there through October. Dutch building "Dutch Modern Architecture" is on view through April 12 in the James Dyett Gallery located in 335 Hayes Hall, South Campus. Hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Prints on the fifth floor An exhibit of work by printmakers Susan Budash and Ben Dunkle is on view through July 8 in the Capen Hall Gallery located on the fifth floor of Capen on the North Campus. Sesqui exhibit "UB Remembers," a university sesquicentennial exhibit organized by University Archives, continues through Sept. 10 in 420 Capen Hall on the North Campus. A bright item in the exhibit, organized by chief archivist Shonnie Finnegan, is the state charter incorporating the University of Buffalo on April 22, 1846. An exhibit here celebrating the centennial had to settle for a photographic copy of the document-now we can see the real McCoy (which up to now has not been allowed to leave Albany). Groups may arrange a visit by calling 645-2916. Exhibit hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Black History exhibit "The Legacy of Arthur A. Schomburg" is on display through March 15 in Lockwood Memorial Library, North Campus. The traveling exhibition of photographs and reproductions of manuscripts explores the global history and culture of black people, whose heritage Schomburg dedicated his life to preserving. The exhibit also traces the evolution of the Harlem-based research center that bears his name. Notices Craft workshops The Creative Craft Center's spring workshop schedule starts Monday, March 25 in 120 Fillmore Center, Ellicott Complex, North Campus. These workshops are held once a week (most starting the week of March 25) for six weeks, from 7-10 p.m.: weaving, knitting and crocheting, and intermediate photography (Mondays); textile design, quilting, basic photography (starting April 9), advanced color photo, and basic pottery (Tuesdays); basic pottery, Brazilian embroidery, color photography, creative photography (starting April 10), and advanced stained glass (Wednesdays); intermediate pottery, jewelry casting, darkroom techniques (starting April 11), and beginning stained glass (Thursdays); and greeting card design (Fridays starting April 12). Other workshops are aerial photography, and nature photography, and Saturday workshops for children in pottery and multi-media. Fees are from $20-$50; membership fees per semester are $25-$65.
