CONTINUING EXHIBITS

Lightwell installation

Leonardo Drew's site-specific installation "No. 45-A" was designed for the Lightwell Gallery in the Center for the Arts, North Campus, and now is lodged there through October.

Dutch building

"Dutch Modern Architecture" is on view through April 12 in the James Dyett Gallery located in 335 Hayes Hall, South Campus. Hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Prints in Capen

An exhibit of work by printmakers Susan Budash and Ben Dunkle is on view through July 8 in the Capen Hall Gallery located on the fifth floor of Capen on the North Campus.

Sesqui exhibit

"UB Remembers," a university sesquicentennial exhibit organized by University Archives, continues through Sept. 10 in 420 Capen Hall on the North Campus. A bright item in the exhibit, organized by chief archivist Shonnie Finnegan, is the state charter incorporating the University of Buffalo on April 22, 1846. An exhibit here celebrating the centennial had to settle for a photographic copy of the document - now we can see the real McCoy (which up to now has not been allowed to leave Albany). Groups may arrange a visit by calling 645-2916. Exhibit hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Biennial buys

The Biennial Student Art Sale takes place April 12 and 13 from 3-7 p.m. each day in the Atrium of the Center for the Arts on the North Campus. Work by undergraduate and graduate art students is available in various mediums. Part of the proceeds goes to support Department of Art programs.

Grand Opening in the Atrium

University Print & Mail Services has moved to the Jacobs second-floor atrium, and to celebrate is offering a 20 percent discount off convenience (walk-in) copies with a coupon available in various campus publications and in flyers. This Grand Opening celebration will be held April 15-19.

UGL satellite in the Student Union

The Undergraduate Library (UGL) is offering a new service called ugl.union, a satellite reference desk located near the theater entrance on the second floor of the Student Union, North Campus. Librarians are available Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Reference assistance is provided through BISON (Buffalo Information System ONline) and the Internet.

Faculty promotion and the PRB

The Office of the Provost and the Faculty Senate are sponsoring a general meeting of interested faculty with the Chair of the President's Review Board (PRB), April 16 at 3 p.m. in the Assembly Hall (Room 330) of the Student Union, North Campus. Prof. David Nyberg, Chair of the PRB, and Dr. Ken Levy, Senior Vice Provost, will discuss the promotion process and answer questions.
