Management Inducts New Members into Beta Gamma Sigma

The School of Management inducted 70 new members April 26 into Beta Gamma Sigma, the National Scholastic Management Honor Society. The Center for Tomorrow was the setting for the induction ceremony and reception.

Presiding over the induction ceremony were Frank E. Bartscheck, Gamma Chapter president; Sanford C. Gunn, vice president; Arlene R. Bergwall, secretary/treasurer and John H. Shellum, assistant dean.

Frederick W. Winter, dean of the School of Management, addressed the new members, accenting the principles of Beta Gamma Sigma: honor, wisdom and earnestness. The Gamma of New York Chapter was established in 1932 to recognize outstanding management students of high scholarship and good moral character. Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest scholastic rank that a management student can attain.
