Four Honored with 17th Annual Nancy Welch
Awards
Amy J. Bandolik has received first place honors for the 17th
Annual Nancy Welch Award, given annually in honor of the former
residential coordinator of Rachel Carson College.
The award recognizes a currently enrolled undergraduate residential
student who has made a substantial contribution to the university through
the development or support of an imaginative and outstanding program or
project during the 1995-96 academic year. Recipients receive a cash award
and a plaque noting their significant contribution to the university.
Bandolik was honored for her "UB Real Men" project. Second-place honors
went to Kerry E. Sheeley for her project, "A Night of Black
Elegance." Michael Burrows received third-place honors for
organizing "The University at Buffalo Chips." Steven Christopher
Job received honorable mention for his creativity in planning the
"Singled Out Dating Game Dinner" and "Broken Heart Dance."
An award ceremony was held April 29 in the Jeannette Martin Room. Claude
