WBFO to broadcast Sesqui concert
On Sunday, Oct. 13 at 4 p.m., WBFO's Opus Classics will broadcast
highlights from the special concert given in honor of UB's
Sesquicentennial. Performers include the Amherst Saxophone Quartet; the
Castellani-Andriaccio Guitar Duo; Laura Aiken, soprano, accompanied by
Roland Martin, piano; Anthony deMare, piano and James VanDemark, double
bass, accompanied by Paul Transue, piano.
The broadcast will conclude with the UB Choir, directed by Harriet
Simons and the UB Wind Ensemble, directed by Sarah McKoin. They will
perform "Celebration" by Lukas Foss, composed in honor of UB's birthday.
WBFO's Bill Raffel is producer and host of the special broadcast. The
concert was recorded by Stephen Bradley of the UB Music Department.
