The cup will be given annually with that year's SEFA chair choosing the criteria for which it will be awarded.
In its first year, Townsend has designated that the cup will be awarded to the vice-presidential or faculty unit that meets or exceeds it 1996 SEFA campaign goal and shows the highest increase in percentage of respondents over the 1995 campaign.
The 1996 cup, a trophy that will reside with the winning unit for one year, will be presented at the UB-Syracuse University basketball game to be held Dec. 10 in the new Marine Midland Arena. The winning unit will receive 12 tickets to the game or two tickets per unit liaison plus four tickets for the unit head, whichever is greater, to the pre-game celebration and the double-header basketball games to be held that night.
