Art celebrating the sesquicentennial
An exhibition of art by faculty and alumni celebrating the sesquicentennial
continues through Dec. 18 in the University Art Gallery, Center for the
Arts, North Campus. The show includes work by 17 faculty and 23 alumni.
Gallery hours are 10:30 a.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday, and noon-5 p.m.
Sunday. Admission is free.
Beautiful books
"Treasures from the Lockwood Library-An Exhibit Celebrating UB's
Sesquicentennial," is on view in display cases on the second floor of
Lockwood Library on the North Campus. The exhibit features books of this
century, mostly from the 1920s and 1930s, all taken from the stacks.
Timothy Conroy from the Office of Publications curated the exhibit, which
continues through Dec. 20.
Lightwell wall extended
Leonardo Drew's site-specific installation "No. 45-A" was designed for the
Lightwell Gallery in the Center for the Arts, North Campus, and is there
through Dec. 18.
Retirement Consultations
A New York State Employees' Retirement System Representative will be
available for individual consultations on Friday, Nov. 22 in the Personnel
Services Conference Room, 102 Crofts Hall, North Campus. To schedule an

Student Art Sale
The twice-yearly Art Department Student Art Sale will be held 3-9:30 p.m.
Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 13 and 14, in the atrium of the Center for the
Arts, North Campus. In addition, the annual Student Arts Gala will be held
5-10 p.m. Nov. 13, also in the Center for the Arts atrium.
