The annual award was created in memory of Gregory Capasso, a UB student who was killed aboard Pan Am Flight 103 when a terrorist bomb exploded over Scotland Dec. 21, 1988. The award will be given this year for the sixth time. The recipient receives a cash award and is recognized on a plaque in the Student Union.
There is no page-length specification. Only seniors are eligible. Interested students can send submissions to Student Affairs, 542 Capen Hall, North Campus.
Works will be judged by a committee from Student Affairs and student editors of campus publications. Announcement of the winner will be made in campus publications at the beginning of the spring semester.
