Lynna Jean Sedlak, former personnel staff member
Lynna Jean Sedlak, 58, co-owner of a Hertel Ave. bookstore, and a former
staff member in personnel at UB, died Nov. 18 after being stricken ill
while shopping in Kenmore. She ran The Book Revue, a small independent
bookstore on Hertel Ave. It closed July after 14 years of operation.
Sedlak earned a doctorate in English at UB, working in personnel at
State University at Albany, then at UB. She also managed a municipal
parking lot and worked as a secretary-administrator for the
Unitarian-Universalist Church of Buffalo.
She had been a reviewer of books and classical music concerts for
the Buffalo News since the 1980s.
