The fair is designed to promote consciousness and awareness of information technology at UB, as well as to provide faculty and staff with information on technological advances, what else is available and the future of information technology.
The fair is targeted at persons with both novice and advanced computer skills. Three knowledge tracks will be offered: Teaching and Learning, Administrative and UB's IT Strategies. (A description of each program being offered is available on site and on the web.)
In addition, the fair will feature a demonstration area where anyone interested in an introduction to information technology can explore hands-on displays specializing in a number of different areas. Consultants will be available to answer questions, offer advice and demonstrate effective ways to use information technology for personal and professional empowerment.
