SUNY-wide Faculty Senate seeks committee members

The SUNY-wide University Faculty Senate is seeking UB faculty and staff who wish to serve on one of the senate's standing committees for the 1997-98 academic year.

Members are being sought for committees on governance, graduate academic programs and research, student life, undergraduate academic programs and policies, university operations, and university programs and awards.

Standing committees meet at the annual Fall Assembly in September and two or three additional times during the academic year. Appointments are for one year, with reappointment for up to three consecutive years possible.

Anyone interested in serving on a committee can contact the UB Faculty Senate office at 645-2003 for more information and to obtain a nominating form.

All nominations must be in the University Faculty Senate's Albany office by April 22.
