As part of a campus consolidation of business services, Sponsored Programs Services, led by Elizabeth Kopra, assistant vice president for sponsored programs services, now reports to associate vice president and university controller Leonard Snyder.
The change was effective May 1.
Sponsored Programs Services encompasses four "business service" units that provide support to UB project directors and to UB project sponsors for most post-award functions, including account establishment and maintenance, property control, billings and collections, personnel, purchasing and payroll operations.
"Our goal will be to provide service excellence to UB project directors and sponsors in the most effective and efficient manner. In achieving this goal, there will be ongoing discussions and consultation with project directors and the academic leadership of the university," said Dale M. Landi, vice president for research.
Research Foundation pre-award services (application, processing, award acceptance and information dissemination) will remain the responsibility of Charles Kaars, assistant vice president for Sponsored Programs Administration, who will continue to report to the vice president for research.
