1999-2000 budget outcome is 'mixed' Funding gap means UB faces a 'difficult year financially,' Wagner tells FSEC
Despite major restorations to higher education in the final
1999-2000 state budget passed on Aug. 5, the outcome for UB

essential base-budget items, the Faculty Senate Executive
Committee was told at its Aug. 25 meeting.
Recruitment efforts pay off in big way
A more proactive approach in recruiting students via the implementation of an integrated marketing plan by the Office of Admissions has paid off for UB in a big way. Admissions staff have estimated that more than 3,200 freshmen have enrolled in UB for the fall semester, an increase of more than 7 percent over the Fall 1998 freshman enrollment.
