Libraries put hold on new purchases SUNY budget uncertainty prompts units to exercise caution in spending
The continuing uncertainty of SUNY's budget for the current fiscal year has forced the University Libraries to impose a hold on all new purchases, with the exception of periodicals and serials, and a restriction on new hiring until actual budget figures are known.
Report urges action on brownfields
The complicated process of revitalizing Western New York's brownfields could be enhanced and accelerated significantly through the formation of a nonprofit organization designed to facilitate such projects, according to a report by a new university group, the Brownfield Action Project (BAP).
