UB's highest honor to go to
Jacobs
UB faculty member, renowned researcher to receive
Norton Medal posthumously
The
late Lawrence D. Jacobs, who was professor and chair of the Department
of Neurology and a world-renowned researcher in the treatment of multiple
sclerosis, has been chosen to receive posthumously UB's highest award,
the Chancellor Charles P. Norton Medal.
Donor's
gifts now total $7.2 million
An
anonymous donor has given another $800,000 to the Distinguished Honors
Scholars Program, bringing to $7.2 million the donor's total gifts to
this program, and reaffirming a true commitment to educating tomorrow's
leaders.
