Newman Center plans liturgy
Newman Center at the University at Buffalo will celebrate the opening of the academic year with its annual convocation and Liturgy of the Holy Spirit, to be held at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 15 in St. Joseph's University Church, Buffalo.
This year the event also will include a special remembrance of the victims who died Sept. 11 and their families. Faculty, administrators, students and family members are invited to march in the academic procession and academic garb is encouraged.
Organizers asked that marchers let the Newman Center know of their intent to participate by calling 636-7495 by Sept. 12. St. Joseph's is located at 3269 Main St. The public is invited to attend.
