Meghan Raham and Jennifer LaMastra, two students in the Department of Theatre and Dance, are regional nominees for national awards at the XXXV American College Theater Festival, presented by the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and being held Monday through Sunday at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Raham is a nominee in the Costume Design category of the Barbizon Awards for Excellence in Scenic, Costume and Lighting Design. LaMastra is a nominee for the Mehron Makeup Design Award. The KCACTF involves more than 20,000 students and more than 1,000 student productions from colleges and universities nationwide. Catherine Norgren, associate professor of theatre and dance, and head of design and production for the Department of Theatre and Dance, serves as the festival's national chair.
