In Appreciation

Eugenia Smith (left), outgoing president of the UB Women's Club, presents a box containing an engraved crystal pyramid to Carol Greiner, wife of President William R. Greiner and honorary president of the Women's Club, in recognition of her support of the club during her tenure as honorary president. In addition to the gift of the pyramid, which was presented at the club's annual spring luncheon and installation of officers held on Saturday in the Center for Tomorrow, Smith read proclamations from nine public officials recognizing Mrs. Greiner's contributions. Sending proclamations were Gov. George Pataki, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, Sen. Chuck Schumer, Rep. Louise Slaughter, Erie County Executive Joel Giambra, Buffalo Mayor Anthony Masiello, Amherst Supervisor Susan Grelick, state Sen. Mary Lou Rath and Erie County Legislator Chuck Swanick.
