Opening Ceremony A jumbo screen showing athletes marching into UB Stadium for the opening ceremony of the Empire State Games last week serves as a backdrop for other athletes who already had made that journey around the stadium track. Some 6,000 athletes—wearing the games' traditional navy blue-and-gold sweatsuits—participated in the opening ceremony and its parade of athletes. |
