Jerry Han, former associate professor of accounting
Jerry C.Y. Han, a member of the faculty of the Department of Accounting and Law in the School of Management from 1990-2002, died unexpectedly Sept. 26 in his home in Hong Kong. He was 50.
Han, an associate professor, had left UB in August to assume a position on the faculty of the Department of Business and Economics at the University of Hong Kong,
While at UB, Han served as faculty director of SOM's MBA program at Renmin University in Beijing, China.
He presented papers at conferences all over the world and served as a consultant to companies in the United States and Taiwan.
His research has been published such scholarly journals as The Accounting Review; Journal of Business, Finance and Accounting; Journal of Investing; Journal of Accounting Research, and The Chinese Accounting Review.
The School of Management will hold a memorial service, details of which will be announced at a later date.
