Margaret W. Paroski, M.D. '80, interim vice president for health affairs and interim dean of the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, has been selected by Erie County as one of 10 women "Making History in Erie County" for National Women's History Month this March.

Daniel Dadoyan, adjunct instructor in the Department of Architecture in the School of Architecture and Planning, has received the Graduate Studies Richmond Harold Shreve Award in Architectural/Urban Design from Cornell University for excellence and originality in his graduate thesis, which was completed last year.

"Pamphlet Architecture 25: Gravity," which catalogues a cross-section of the work of Frank Fantauzzi, associate professor in the Department of Architecture, and collaborators James Cathcart and Terence Van Elslander, recently was published by Princeton Architectural Press.

The IDEA Center, directed by Edward Steinfeld professor in the Department of Architecture, is organizing "Space Requirements for Wheeled Mobility," an international workshop sponsored by the U.S. Access Board that will explore current issues related to design for use of wheeled mobility devices and review proposals for a long-range research plan to be coordinated by the Access Board.

The 19th annual IEEE Conference on Computational Complexity, which will be held this June in Western New York, has accepted papers from Alan Selman, professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences; Samik Sengupta, doctoral student in CSE; Christian Glasser, former UB post-doc, and A. Pavan, former UB doctoral student.

Monyette Coplin, program coordinator/counselor in the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, has been selected for inclusion in the eighth edition of "Who's Who Among America's Teachers."

Ronald Sigeti, a doctoral student in higher education, recently was recognized as Distinguished Alumni of the Year for the fraternity Sigma Phi Epsilon's Northeast region. Sigeti is a graduate of the UB chapter of Sigma Phi Episilon.
