Gregory Natale, adjunct instructor in the Department of Theatre and Dance in the College of Arts and Sciences, is directing the Irish Classical Theatre Company's production of the musical "The 1940's Radio Hour." The show opened last night with a preview performance and will run through Oct. 5 on the Main Stage of the Sphere Entertainment Complex, 681 Main St., Buffalo.

The annual convention of the American Literary Association, held in Cambridge, Mass., featured a reading by Robert J. Daly, SUNY Distinguished Teaching Professor in the Department of English in the College of Arts and Sciences, of his work, "Leslie Fiedler's Coming to Iowa." Daly also read from "Networks of America: Assembling a Nation in 'The Linwoods'" at the Sedgewick Symposium, held in Stockbridge, Mass. A historical romance set during the American Revolution, "The Linwoods" is a major work by Catherine Sedgwick, one of the leading writers of early American literature.

"Ordinary Language Criticism: Literary Thinking after Cavell after Wittgenstein," an anthology co-edited (with Walter Jost) by Kenneth M. Dauber, professor and Acting Butler Chair in the Department of English, was published this summer by Northwestern University Press.

New Directions recently published a new book of poetry and prose, "The Midnight," by Susan Howe, SUNY Distinguished Professor in the Department of English.

"Up Society's Ass, Cooper: Rereading Philip Roth," by Mark Shechner, professor of English, has been published by The University of Wisconsin Press.
