Souder up next in "Meet the Author" series

William Souder, author of "Under a Wild Sky: John James Audubon and the Making of 'The Birds of America,'" will give a reading from his book at 7 p.m. June 14 in the Allen Hall Theatre, South Campus.

The reading, part of the WBFO 88.7 FM "Meet the Author" series, will be co-sponsored by Asbury Pointe, an affiliate of Beechwood Continuing Care.

The event, which will be broadcast live on WBFO 88.7 FM, UB's National Public Radio affiliate, will be free and open to the public. Bert Gambini, WBFO music director, will serve as host. A reception and book signing will take place immediately following the reading.

Renew parking permits online

Faculty and staff members can renew their campus parking permits or obtain a new permit by registering online at http://myub.buffalo.edu.

Click on the "My Parking Permit" option under "My Tools." Individuals will need to know their UB IT name and password to log on to MyUB (call 645-3542 for assistance with UB IT name or password), as well as their vehicle's license plate number, make, model and year in order to complete the registration form.

Parking permits also may be renewed by mail. Packets will be mailed to faculty and staff members who have not registered online by June 23.

Permits are $6.50 and will be distributed in early August. Current parking permits expire Aug. 31.
