I'd like my peers to know that I'm color-blind, so please don't use colored chalk in seminars. I'd like my students to know that I got a B- in the first mathematics class I took in college, so I know what it's like to not be happy with your grade! I also know that one B- won't ruin a mathematics career.

UB is one of the few universities in the nation where the study of hearing and hearing loss is a major focus of research and spans many laboratories across both campuses. The opportunity to be involved in collaborations with so many different scientists is very appealing. Buffalo also is warmer than Wisconsin, where I was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Medical School. A lot warmer!
