Wilkinson concert rescheduled to June 30

The concert by Colm Wilkinson previously scheduled for March 25 at the Center for the Arts has been rescheduled to 8 p.m. June 30 in the Mainstage theater in the CFA, North Campus.

Tickets purchased for the original March 25 date will be honored. Patrons unable to attend the concert on the new date may obtain a refund at point of purchase.

One of the greatest vocalists of all time, Wilkinson has mesmerized theater audiences for more than 30 years. A celebrated international and Broadway star, he originated the role of Jean Valjean and starred in "Les Miserables," both in Europe and North America. Wilkinson also created the character of the Phantom in "The Phantom of the Opera" in the original workshop at Sydmonton, England. He went on to play this role in Toronto, starring in more than 1,700 performances.

In his UB performance, Wilkinson will perform songs from his Broadway musicals, as well as original pieces and contemporary international hits.

Tickets for Colm Wilkinson are $49, $45, $40 and $35, and are available at the CFA box office from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and at all Ticketmaster locations, including Ticketmaster.com.

Tickets on sale Saturday for "Jesus Christ Superstar"

Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday for the original, groundbreaking production of "Jesus Christ Superstar" starring Ted Neeley, to be presented Sept. 8-13 in the Mainstage theater in the Center for the Arts, North Campus.

"Jesus Christ Superstar," the first masterpiece from the legendary writing team of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber, exploded onto the scene in 1971, changing the world of musical theater forever. With a score of amazing songs—"I Don't Know How to Love Him," "Hosanna," "Everything's Alright," "What's the Buzz," "Superstar" and "Heaven on Their Mind," this production is as relevant and timeless as ever.

Tickets for "Jesus Christ Superstar" are $45 and $35 for the general public and $25 for students. Tickets are available at the CFA box office from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and at all Ticketmaster locations, including Ticketmaster.com. The box office will be open on Saturday, June 3.
