Paul Senese, associate professor, political science
Paul D. Senese, associate professor and director of graduate studies in the Department of Political Science, died on June 20 in the Center for Hospice & Palliative Care in Cheektowaga after an illness of a few years. He was 39.
Senese was born in Niagara Falls and raised in the Town of Niagara. He earned a bachelor's degree from Niagara University and a doctorate in political science from Binghamton University.
He joined the UB faculty in 1998 as an assistant professor. He was promoted to associate professor with tenure in 2005. He specialized in international security and conflict processes, American foreign policy, international futures and political research methodology.
Senese was active in the Peace Science Society and community-supported agriculture. He enjoyed hockey, baseball, hiking and travel.
