Violent car smashing does not reflect "spirit"
To the Editor:
I found it interesting that in an institution of higher learning such as UB, "spirit" is exemplified by the violent act of smashing a car. It was even more interesting that the UB Reporter chose a photo of this act for the front page of the Oct. 6, 2005 issue.
The normalization and acceptance of violence in this culture is truly stunning. This act and the related photo does not reflect well on UB or the broader society.
