Because of their expertise and reputations, members of the UB faculty and staff are sought out by reporters who quote them in print, broadcast and online publications around the world. Here is a sampling of recent media coverage in which UB is mentioned prominently.

"Humans are super-organisms...an amalgamation of microbial and human attributes. We're entirely dependent on this microbial population for our well-being."

Steven Gill, associate professor of oral biology, in an article in the San Jose Mercury News on research into the immense but little-known world of microscopic organisms and the roles they play in the life of this planet.

Chris Barr, a UB master of fine arts student, in an article in the "Short Subjects" column in The Chronicle of Higher Education that looks at his latest project, "Under an Umbrella," in which he escorts pedestrians wherever they wish under the cover of an umbrella that is equipped with a miniature camera that records low-quality video and audio.
