I'm exploring the role of the anatomy of theater in contemporary performance. I'm working on a theater piece about Sudan and the genocide in Darfur.

My area of research involves the refinement of my theory of acclimation in newly diagnosed breast cancer patients in order to eventually derive theory-based interventions to assist women post-diagnosis and ultimately improve their long-term survivor experience. I also am an advanced oncology certified nurse and clinical nurse specialist.

The thing I like most about teaching is observing and interacting with students. It provides me with an opportunity to enhance my knowledge of the subject matter. Aside from developing my own expertise, I consider teaching to be a forum in which students and professors develop ideas and notations that provide the foundation for a good research program.
