Adler elected president of UB Alumni Association

Marc A. Adler, who earned three degrees from UB, has been elected to serve a two-year term as president of the UB Alumni Association.

A partner for Flynn and Friends, a marketing communication firm in Buffalo's Allentown district, Adler received a bachelor's degree in geography in 1979, an M.B.A. in 1982 and a master's degree in geography in 1983.

Other officers elected for the 2007-08 term are Lawrence J. Zielinski, M.B.A. '77, B.A. '75, \president of the Visiting Nursing Association of Western New York, first vice president and chair of the alumni association's development and membership committees; James F. Wendel, B.S. '75, assistant treasurer and secretary of the Seymour H. Knox Foundation Inc., vice president, finance, and chair, financial resource management committee; Thomas A. Palmer, J.D. '75, M.B.A. '71, partner and vice chairman for Jaeckle Fleischmann & Mugel LLP, chair, audit committee; Kimberly J. Pustulka, B.S. '97, associate at Jones Day in Cleveland, Ohio, co-chair, chapter committee; Edward F. Ryczek, B.S. '71, retired controller for Gould Electronics in Chandler, Ariz., co-chair, chapter committee; Helene A. Blieberg, B.A. '77, principal, Helene Blieberg Associates, chair, communication and marketing committee; Timothy P. Lafferty, B.A. '86, vice president of sales and marketing for Chakra Communications, chair, alumni programs and events committee; and Rita Andolina, M.S.W. Donations sought for SEFA garage sale

The Health Sciences Library is seeking items to sell at a garage sale to benefit SEFA to be held Sept. 7 and 8.

Organizers are looking for clean, gently used items—no clothing donations, please—as well as gift baskets that can be raffled.

Donations can be dropped off at the Health Sciences Library, Abbott Hall, South Campus.
