New to the homecoming lineup this year are Alumni College, a "Dodge-Bull" tournament and Homecoming Central, all of which will complement the various homecoming traditions at UB, including the UB Alumni Association's pre-game tent party and the football game in UB Stadium.

The highlight of the weekend will be "A Night of Comedy" featuring Alan Zweibel, B.A. '72, former "Saturday Night Live" writer and creator of Gilda Radner's Roseanne Roseannadanna character.

Alumni and friends returning to campus tomorrow should stop in at Homecoming Central in the Center for Tomorrow. Open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., this central location offers a place for visitors to check in and get all the information they need for the weekend, including event listings, pre-paid football tickets, parking passes, campus maps and general information.

In addition, they may sign up for events and activities, reconnect with classmates and friends, and post messages to classmates on the bulletin board.

Walking tours of the North Campus are scheduled at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. tomorrow. The free 90-minute tours will be student-led, and will cover major academic and student-life buildings. Reservations are encouraged, and participants may sign up at http://www. alumni.buffalo.edu/homecoming, or contact Stephanie Lichtenthal at 645-6417 or sjl7@buffalo.edu. Tours will meet under the clock in front of Capen Hall.

Friday's events also will include Alumni College, presented by the UB Alumni Association in conjunction with various school-based alumni associations. Eight different classes will be led by some of UB's most distinguished faculty and beloved faculty members, including former President William R. Greiner. Alumni College will conclude with a special cocktail and hors d'oeuvres networking reception. All sessions and the reception will take place in Jacobs Management Center and its Alfiero Center.

The University Student Alumni Board—creator of the Oozfest mud volleyball tournament—will launch a new tradition during Homecoming 2006. "Dodge-Bull," the UB version of a dodgeball tournament, will begin at 5 p.m. tomorrow on Homecoming Field, between the Student Union and the Center for the Arts.

Saturday's activities will begin with the annual UB Alumni Association pre-game tent party at 11:30 a.m. inside UB Stadium. The party is free and will include a picnic lunch, a chicken wing-eating contest, trivia games and prizes. Immediately following the tent party, the Bulls will take on Ball State University at 1 p.m. under the direction of UB's new head football coach Turner Gill.

Homecoming 2006 will conclude with "A Night of Comedy," starring UB alumnus Alan Zweibel, with comedian and juggler Chris Bliss as a special guest. The show will start at 8 p.m. in the Mainstage theater in the Center for the Arts. Tickets are $10 for UB Alumni Association members and $15 for nonmembers; a special combo ticket for the football game and the comedy show is available at a cost of $15 for UBAA members and $25 for nonmembers. "A Night of Comedy" is sponsored by the UB Alumni Association, Division of Athletics and Office of Student Affairs.

After graduating from UB in 1972, Zweibel took his creative energy to the entertainment industry. In addition to Roseanne Roseannadanna, he also created John Belushi's Samauri Swordsman character. He has won five Emmy Awards, six cable ACE Awards and two Writer's Guild Awards for his television work, which includes "Saturday Night Live" and "It's Garry Shandling's Show," which he co-created and executive produced, and "Curb Your Enthusiasm."

Zweibel also co-wrote, with Dan Aykroyd, the screenplay for the feature film "Dragnet."
