I’m working with the Urban Institute on a national study of public financing of museums for the Institute for Museum and Library Services. I’m also working on a project with colleagues at Tulane University and the University of New Orleans on how cultural policies can promote the rebuilding of living culture in post-Katrina New Orleans.

It is becoming increasingly clear that the local dimension of immigration plays a significant role in not only the development of our immigration policy, but also how immigrants are perceived in American society.
