I was attracted to UB because it is an excellent research university. I also have lots of family nearby—I grew up in Syracuse and have family scattered up and down the Thruway. Western New York also has excellent schools and affordable housing.

I’m currently working on several research projects with implications for how citizens’ levels of sophistication condition their evaluation of macroeconomic performance, attitudes about political issues and voting behavior.
