This workshop highlights methods to advance science for medical devices, and in supporting the safe and effective deployment of AI-empowered healthcare technologies. Based on a research project to improve diabetes care by creating virtual models of individual patients--called digital twins--that can learn from wearable health sensors and help guide real-time insulin delivery, participating students will have hands-on experience in computational medicine, offering early exposure to high-performance computing and digital health technologies. Students will also spend time learning with computer science and data professionals and touring locations on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus
