Work
by undergraduate students in the Department of Art will be on display
through March 21 in the Art Department Gallery, B45 Center for the Arts,
North Campus. An opening reception will be held from 5-7 p.m. today.
Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday
through Friday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday.
"Big
Orbit: Ten Years of Spin on Western New York Art"
Examples
of artwork that has been exhibited at Big Orbit Gallery during the past
10 years will be on display through April 28 in the Anderson Gallery,
Martha Jackson Place, Buffalo. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday
through Saturday and 1-5 p.m. on Sunday.
"Alan
E. Cober: A Retrospective Afterlife"
An
exhibition honoring the life and work of the late illustrator and teacher
Alan E. Cober will be in display through May 18 in the first floor gallery
of the UB Art Gallery in the Center for the Arts, North Campus. Cober
was a visiting professor of art and Distinguished Visiting Artist at
UB from 1987-96. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through
Saturday.

Art by Vesalius"
"19th
Century Botanical Prints"
Reproductions
of the famous "muscle men" series by Andreas Vesalius, and print-images
of plants with medicinal properties are on permanent display in the
Health Sciences Library on the South Campus. Material for both exhibits
was obtained via the Robert L. Brown History of Medicine Collection
in the library. The exhibits, supported by the Friends of the Health
Sciences Library and the Medical Historical Society of Western New York,
may be viewed during normal library hours.
